Geometry of Pasta

I generally like cookbooks with quality pictures, partially because I want to know what the end product of a recipe will look like. It’s nice to see what the before looks like as well. But here’s something entirely different. No pictures, no colors. Just the shapes of pasta, black ink on white paper.

I can absolutely appreciate the design aspect of this, but as a cookbook, it just doesn’t do it for me. I like color pictures, showing me how pretty my dishes can look. I like pictures of food that make me hungry. This book looks perfect for hardcore pasta-cooking food snobs, since the pictures are purely instructional. I suppose it’s good for those trying to lose weight while still keeping up with cooking…
