El Flamin’ Taco Veggie Huarache

A great thing about my location is its proximity to eateries. One food truck in particular is open late enough that it satiates my appetite as well as allows me to avoid going to an overpriced diner with mediocre food and having to leave a tip for mediocre service [food trucks are just superior this way in general]. Late night dining severely limits one’s options, so food trucks are a huge bonus.

The other night, I stopped by El Flamin’ Taco and tried my first-ever huarache. It was so, so good. The bottom was freshly made, a corn-based crust that was more fluffy and denser than a tortilla, topped with really yummy vegetarian toppings. It was like a Mexican Pizza. It was glorious.

It was, sadly, too late at night to take a proper picture with my camera phone…

Mine didn't have meat on it.
